persistent base install v3 required
Installation:
See the Actor Utilities page for download and installation instructions.
Note that in the demo video I forgot about the "Move to
Footprint" button. Use it instead of manually
repositioning the ik handle to the footprint.
- Time Coded - create a new footprint at the current frame and name includes the frame
- Drop Footprint - place a footprint node at the selected Joint or IK handles position
- Match Reference - only move to footprint that was created with the same ik handle
- Lock XYZ - prevent motion in the X Y or Z directions when matching the location
- Move to Footprint - move the IK handle to the nearest footprint location
- Mirror Axis - choose an axis, XYZ for the mirror operation
- Mirror Footprint - move the footprint to the opposite side of the actor
- Remove Footprints - remove all footprint objects from the scene
Notes:
- Use transparent display mode when creating footprints for joints
- A large joint footprint can be used to judge small angles. Size the joint footprints using Ctrl + RMB scale - requires updated widgets
- Joint footprints look like an XYZ axis mesh.
- Use Time Coded to lay down a series of footprints over time.
